Around the sixth grade , age 11 or so, people begin to understand themselves. At that early age , art tugged at Sloane's soul and called for her attention. She had always doodled and painted with unusual enthusiasm as a young child , but when the work began to take real form, and accolades from her peers , teachers, and family began to accumulate a life long passion was born. For the next couple of decades, Sloane went through the game of life . She got married and raised two kids - with many more details imbedded in there - but kept painting simply for the joy of it. In 2007, she felt compelled to share her dreams on canvas with the rest of the planet.
In 2009 she began showing her fine art in juried shows , and by invitation - including guest speaker for Foosner Art Museum. She has won multiple awards, most recent Best 2-D Demonstrator's Award , Artworks Eau Gallie Plein Air Art Festival November 2014 ( this is Sloane's 3rd time winning this award since 2011), Best of Show "Gold Award" in" Brush with Success " October 2013 at Art Gallery of Viera juried group show and many others. Sloane has demonstrated her paint knife technique for Bright House T.V. Network, and devotes her spare time to different art groups and charities. All in all , the journey has just begun.
